Summerade Coolers
Delightful summer time cooler. The recipe is enough to fill eight tall glasses. The orange adds an extra kick of natural sweet to the typical glass of lemonade, without adding loads of sugar to the drink.

Ingredients
- 2 cups of sugar
- 2 cups of water
- 6 tangerines or oranges
- 3 lemons
- 1 lime
- 1 bottle of Seltzer
Method
- Place Seltzer in refrigerator.
- Make a simple syrup: Bring 2 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar to a boil in a heavy saucepan; stirring constantly until sugar is completely dissolved. Set aside.
- Peel away the rinds of the fruit. You want to make sure just to get the rinds only, and not get the bitter white pith.
- Add peels to simple syrup.
- Squeeze fruits and add to simple syrup. Be careful not to let seeds drop in.
- Cover the syrup mixture and allow it to steep for at least 8 hours.
- Strain the simple syrup mixture into a medium- large pitcher. Discard rinds.
- Add 2-3 cups of ice to pitcher.
- Fill pitcher with seltzer.
- Garnish glasses or pitcher with slices of fresh orange, lemon, and/or lime.
