Watermelon Granita

Granita is an Italian icy dessert. It is like a snow cone for adults!! By the way, you can also add rum or vodka to the recipe for an alcoholic treat.

Ingredients:

4 cups of seeded and cubed watermelon
½ cup sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice

Method:

1. Combine all ingredients into blender.
2. Blend until smooth and sugar dissolves, you might need to scrape the sides of the blender one or two times during the process.
3. Pour mixture into an eight inch square pan, cover, and freeze 2 hours, uncovering every thirty minutes to stir. 
4. Use an ice cream scoop to serve.
