Phirni

A delicious dessert…

Ingredients:
- 4 cups milk
- 4 tbsp ground rice or rice powder
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 4-5 almonds and pistachios chopped or sliced for garnishing
- 1 pinch cardamom powder
Method:
- Bring the milk to boil in a pan. Simmer and keep stirring.
- Mix the rice powder with a little cold milk to make a smooth paste with enough consistency.
- Add this to boiling milk.
- Cook by stirring continuously till the milk gets thick and creamy.
- Add the sugar and condensed milk. Cook for further five minutes.
- Remove from heat and transfer onto an earthen pot.
- Garnish with the pistachios, almonds and cardamom powder.
- Refrigerate the phirni for approximately two hours.
- Serve chilled. Enjoy!
