Whole Wheat Vegetable Pizza with Cheese Toppings

Healthy and Tasty.

Are you pizza lover, munching pizza here and there and now worried about your health? Does your weight machine needle show a shocking report? May be this will help you. Since it is made of whole wheat flour, and also homemade, it won’t do any harm like your pizza from shops.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups of Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 ¼ Cups of All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 1 ¼ cup of Warm Water
  • 1 pack dry yeast (0.25 ounce)
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tablespoons of honey
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • Sauce – As per need
  • Capsicum – 1
  • Mushroom – 4 or 5
  • Tomato – 1
  • Cheese – As per need
  • Butter – little
  • Black Olive – 4 or 3

Method

1. In the warm water, mix the honeyand yeast and keep aside for 5 minutes, until yeast foams.

2. Put the whole wheat flour, all purpose flour and salt in a bowl. Mix the yeast water.

3. Knead the flour until it dough becomes smooth and soft and elastic, with no sticky feeling.

4. Keep kneading for at least 15 minutes by hand to make it soft as said above.

5. Pour the olive oil in a bowl. Put the dough in that bowl and get it coated with the oil.

6. Keep this dough aside for 1 hour so that it raises double its original size.

7. Now divide the dough into equal size balls (2 or 3 maximum).

8. Spread it to make the pizza base.

9. Spread Sauce and Cheese over the base.

10. Bake it in oven for 40 minutes at 250 degree, or until it becomes golden brown.

Preparing the toppings

1. Cut Capsicum, mushroom into thin slices.

2. Cut tomato in round thin shape.

3. Cut each olive into 2 or 3 pieces

4. In a pan, add butter and fry these vegetables slightly.

Final Work

1. Once when the base is baked, remove it from the oven.

2. Top it up with the vegetables fried previously.

3. Heat it again for another few minutes (say for 5 minutes)

4. Cut it into pieces and serve it hot.
